How do i go about fixingthis problem? handyandhandsome 05-14-2006, 06:41 PM do all the other dash lights (ie speedometer) work? Duke9088 05-15-2006, 07:16 AM Yes the speedometer works, it's the tach, and oil pressure guages that don't. handyandhandsome 05-15-2006, 12:16 PM OK...that is good that the speedometer has lights as this is an important gauge. I'm not familiar with your car interior. So is the tach bundled with the oil pressure other gauges or is a separate instrument like the speedometer? Duke9088 05-19-2006, 10:06 PM Ok, the guages are, tach on the left, speedometer on the right, the temp guage on the top in the middle, and the gas guage in the middle bottom. The speedometer is theonly guage that works. The gas guage only works periodically, and then almost always reads 1/4 tank. handyandhandsome 05-23-2006, 06:46 PM speedometer is working as this has a direct mechanical connection to the transmission via a rotating cable. The other gauges most likley transmit a small electrical signal from a transmitter (such as a pressure transmitter for oil pressure) to the gauge. As such, I would check the fusible links to make sure that none have a burned out wire; you owner's manual should show you were they are located and which provide protection from overcurent to each dash guage. |
