what type of interface should i buy to be able to install the head unit? Is there a certain one i should be buying?

 

Whatever Head Unit you decide doesnt really matter. They will all work with the factory harness as there are alot of companies making Plug n Play harness for the simple fact that people done like cutting off the facotry harness.
