BAD IDLE

Default BAD IDLE

Hello . i am from sweden and have an nissan almera tino 2,2 turbo diesel 2005 . with bad idle . it drop to near that engine stop then go up and soon drop again . the local nissan workshop have no help for me . so now i hope all nissan people can help me .

Did the mechanics check the governors? compression? idle settings? also it is a good idea to have them check the engine computer to see whats going on, if they still can't find anything take it to a diesel mechanic who is reputable and they should be able to tell you whats going on..hope this helps

Default Bad Idle

Hi there,
I have had similar problems with my 2000 Maxima (petrol engine). The engine would idle when cold, but stall 10 to 15 seconds after idling when hot. Somewhere in this forum I was advised that it was the MAF sensor.
My mechanic was reluctant to order one unless I agreed to pay for it, repair or not. I did.

I am happy to say that it has completely fixed the problem.

Perhaps your problem may be related.
