j reg jap import serena exhaust.. prices quoted for replacement seem inflated (£360 plus vat).. because of the jap import tag.. why wont a standard exhaust fit

 

Check engine lights can mean anything these days, you need to have a diagnostic meter readout done to know what it means. It could be as simple as your gas cap is not tightened, or a small air leak / vacuum in fuel tank / line.
