Default 96' 200sx w/ a 91-94 sr20de?

i have a problem with my swap. i have a 96 200sx and i bought a jdm sr20de with the low port intake manifold. when i bought the motor it said it came out of a 91-94 sentra. i never stopped to think that this wasnt possible without the computer or harness to the 91-94. As of rite now im at a stand still with it. the motor is in the car, all the sensors are hooked up correctly, timing has been checked, got a new distributor on it,ignition timing is on, firing order is correct, compression has been checked, but the car runs horrible. i think that i need a new computer and maybe a harness, but now, do i need a j-spec or us-spec? Could i just send my computer to get reprogramed?

you will need the compatable computer for that engine, so i would think J spec, but that may not pass if a smog test, if that matters to you...

Hi Innssan200..
I believe that Patrick is correct here in that you will need to get the computor exchanged for a correct one..see your local parts store and bring in the computor so that they can get the OEM number off of it..
