Replacing Timing Chain?

RE: Replacing Timing Chain?
nissan recommends to replace your timing chain and tensioner at 112,xxx miles but a chain last alot longer then a belt does. i have 128,xxx on my 1.6 sentra and i still have not replaced it and i bought the car 3 years ago with 85,xxx on it. usually i say replace it when you start to hear noises from the chain. cause the labor for a chain R&R is 12hours according to alldata. and 12hours of labor x $80and hour is $960 now a nissan dealer might actually have a special price for that replacement. but to let you know its a very difficult to change a timing chain on a 1.6L sentra/200sx if you never done one before. well good luck
