95 Nissan Altima Electrical or Fuel Please Help????????
Hi All,
Am a newbie to this forum....I have a severely confusing Diagnostic Issue....
95 Nissan Altima GXE... 204,000 miles.. mainly highway... owned for 10 years...
Lots of new parts....
Last summer let the car sit up for 3 weeks vacation have had trouble every since.... FFirst went the Fuel Pump... car ran for another 4 months... had a ongoing Cylinder 1 Misfire... Changed wires, spark plugs, Fuel Injector on Cylinder 1... Car at times will turn over (ignition) all electrical compents on but won't start... then the RPM's were low, and car would sputter, stall every 15 miles or so...
Dealership said the Intake Valve Cover Gasket was major problem, air getting into engine, throttle plate was sticking, Distributor connections (end connectors?) needed to be replaced. My mechanic then worked on Distributor(under warranty)have changed repeatedly, new battery(under warranty), Intake Valve Cover Gasket, Mass Flow Sensor, other 3 Fuel Injectors, Fuel Filter, New Ignition Coil. Couple of Spark plugs were blackened as though Gas were getting on them, they were all replaced.
He messed about with Distributot connections cannot veryfiy connectors replaced...
Car drove home with a funky sound seems motor mounts have detoriated while sitting up for 6 months (warranty out there), doesnt sound as smooth as it did when parked 6 months ago, rpms were normal, car won't restart. Still has the stall out, and then restart.
Does this sound electrical or fuel related?
NO CODES in Nissand Delaership computer NOR MECHANICS computer... No Codes
Anyone had something so strange any diagnostic suggestions would be HIGHLY regarded......
Thanks,
Lyn
