No Spark No Fire
I'm not getting any spark to the Distributor.I've changed it 3 times thinking it was bad. I changed the coil and the transistor. Still no spark or fire. It started once, after that It just won't turn over. It's a 1995 Nissan Altima. Looks good for the year, and i've tried everything. I really need my car and living on this island you can't really get any help. Can someone please offer me some other advice. I really appreciate it Thanks.
i doubt i can get a manual because of where i live. But i have tested the connections, power is going to them. Maybe the factory alarm is messed up and causing the car not to start? I changed the pickup. The only I could figure is electrical.
im not real familiar with the alarm systems but but some of them work off a code on the key somehow. ive heard that a good locksmith can disable that type or look up the code for your vin and make you a new key that will work.just a shot in the dark.you may have to go in and remove the alarm and fix the wires back that the alarm was cuaseing the loss of continuity, ie failure to start condition.keep us posted.
Not familular with Nissan's, but when my old pick up would not start, it did end up being something in the alarm going south. I ran a jumper wire to load the coil and a jumper on the stater solonoid. She came back to life! I removed the aftermarket alarm and all was well. Hope this helps???
