Default Please Help

I have a 1993 Nissan Maxima. I started it up one day and it started blowing white smoke out of the exhaust pipe. I had my brother look at it, and he said it is something in the fuel system and does not believe it to be a cracked head. I have changed the fuel injector pressure regulator and it did not fix the problem. Does anyone have any idea of what it may be before i spend alot of money buying different parts to have them replaced?? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

on start up has the vehicle been sitting for a while or is cold? if so, is the smoke a grey/whit colour? suspect valve stem seals. the sit on your valve stems under the valve springs. when worn or disintegrated it will blown smoke on start up for a couple of minutes if bad enough. keep me posted.

No I have been driving the car and it was running fine. I stopped to get gas one day and then 2 days later it started doing this. I started the car to let it warm up and noticed there was white smoke and thought it would clear up and after driving about 2 miles down the road it was still smoking heavy so i parked it. You can put your hand over the exhaust and after removing it your hand smells like you dipped it in gasoline. Its very strong. Other than this the car was running great.
