Default air conditioning fan

My fan blower only works on the number 4 position. Is this an internal fuse or a part that can replaced? Help please~!

Default RE: air conditioning fan

I had this problem with my '02 Frontier. Behind my glove compartment, near the floor, there is a resistor board that controls fan speed. I removed this, and found that one of the traces on the resistor board was not working anymore. I did research and aparently these things rot through because they were poorly designed. At first, I soldered a new wire in to fix the problem. This worked for about 6 months. I found out that my dealership sold a replacement board for about $30 I think. I bought that, and it was pretty easy to replace.

Good luck!

It is a blower motor resistor..... located under the passenger side of your dash... look up , there it is.
