2000 NISSAN MAXIMA NEED HELP WITH STARTER
Hello all, I own a 2000 Nissan Maxima with 50,700 miles and the Mechanic just told me the car need a STARTER? How could it be? Do anyone with a MAXIMA have to replace a STARTER so soon. My Brother have a 1994 Honda Accord and never replace a Starter. Okay let me give you some advise. Before I cannot start the car. My remove key start acting like a GHOST when i click on UNLOCK the car LOCK and the car look the door without me pressing the LOCK REMOTE BUTTON. So, if anyone have that problem run to the dealer. Now i am facing $546.00 for the starter. BIG BILL FOR CHRISTMAS TIME. Plese reply Thank you

" How could it be?"
- sounds hollow like happy holidays
If engine doesnt crank, smtg has to be done?
If starter doesnt run after hot wiring its solenoid, smtg has to be done to solenoid -or- starter. (if starter runs with this test, the Real cause sits in inhibit etc relays, ign sw, wiring...)
U may buy more xmas junk if u buy cheaper starter from junkyard, buy reman, or plain repair the starter: solenoid is 25$, brushes are 3$, these are the cause - with 95% probability...
