Hi am selling fully loaded 89 Nissan Maxima for parts this model is same for 1989-1992 Maximas Give me an offer , i am tired of fixing this car. I have pretty much replaced everything on it. Just the list of things i have done since i bought it 1.5 years ago.

-temperature sensor $20

Within a year

-front tires $160
-Radiator and upper radiator hose $150
-Timing belt $400
-Waterpump$60
-All other belt AC etc. $60
-Left and right axle $100
-Left Control Arm $150

3.0L V6 Motor has 140K works good I think would last at least another 50K. Transmission works but I don’t know if it is good or not, because my cars computer is bad so car is problematic. Due to computer my last years replaced catalytic converter went bad, my mechanic told me that extra gas was sent to the motor so it burned in the catalytic and destroyed it.
The car has a lot of rust on the body, so I decided not to fix it anymore,
Car drives for 300 feet or so and when catalytic converter worms up it looses power slowly to the point where it does 1 mile per hour.
If you decide to fix it catalytic converter costs $160 in auto zone, computer you probably can buy in junk yard for $60. I would also check if fuel pressure regulator works properly, or is it all computers fault.
I am graduating in a month from collage and need a good commuter car for work. This car was unreliable, every month something would break, because I am a student I did not have money to buy a new car, so I was forced to fix it thinking oh motor is good and I have taken care of the car so it should last me a wile if I fix it. This happened every month so I told my self if it breaks again I will sell it. It HAPPENED AGAIN.
Car is sold as is. Would suggest not to fix it, too much body rust, but use it for parts if you have a 89-92 Maxima
