Hello, I have an oportunity to get a 2002 Nissian maxima se 4dr, everthing is perfect on it except for the engine knocks. its a dealership thats offering it to me... He said that they got it in on a trade and when the salseman drove it he didnt notice it knocking, but their mechanics say that it definitly knocks and shouldnt be driven long distances. I can get it for acouple thousand and so I was wondering what kind of engine would be an easy replacement. I'm not really intersted in anything really fancy or great, just a solid engine that isnt that big of a hassle to swap and that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. I do my own mechanic work and so i'm looking for any easy solution. As much help as possible would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Define the problem, as a spare set from the seller (? 75% rebat from shelf price)and repair the engine uself...
