Problem with CVT
Hi everyone!
Was doing some front end work on my girlfriends 2009 Rogue and encountered a problem. Replaced the control arms and Tie rods but touched nothing else on the rest of the car. After i put everything back together and lowered it off the jack stands I started the car to move it out of the garage which is when i noticed that the transmission would not shift into gear when placed into drive. Then when i placed it back into park there was a grinding noise. Not sure what could have caused this (trans was already having typical CVT issues, but never failed to get into gear) and was hoping someone on here might have a solution or a starting spot for me to try and find the issue.
Also worth noting is that when I took it off the jack stands the car proceeded to roll even though it was in park. Leading me to believe it might be a problem with the shift lock
