I need Help!
What I want to find out is if the "jack shaft" needs to be lined up to a mark when you put a new timing belt on?

If so, where is it? What one is it?
the jack shaft pully on my car has 3 marks, "dots on it.

Please help me out if you can, it's my only car and I need it badly.
I've been tring to fix it for weeks now.

 

I know what you are talking about but would like to hear from some professionals
yes there is a mark to line up with,but which of the three dots on the wheel?
the jack shaft turns the fuel pump,I think,so any of the three marks should work?

this is a good disscussion---E16s---any pro's who can help with ignition,timing,and emissions on these old carburateds will be much appreciated.
