Default How to find engine timing

Im doing a headgasket on my 1.8 and I want to verify the crank is still at TDC. I know I u just move cylinder 1 to TDC but I wana know if theres a timing mark on the timing sprocket of the crankshaftfor more accurate timing. Iv marked the top end but I didn't mark the crank and I figure TDC could still be a 2 or 3 teeth range. So if anyone had any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
