The brake warning light on the dash of my 2001 sentra started coming on from time to time about a week ago, it seems to be staying on longer and longer. I have checked and the brakes work fine and the e-brake is not on, does anybody have any idea what I can check????? Thanks in advance for your help!!!! By the way nice board!!!!! Todd

 

Check your Brake Fluid reservoir level. It is probably just low on fluid. Just add a some to bring it up to the max line. , and the light should go off.

 

also check your brake pads cause when your brake fluid reservoir is low it could be caused by two things one your brake pads are below spec. and two you have a brake fluid leak in a line or caliper etc. so check those or bring it somwhere to get it checked.
