I have a H plate Nissan Skyline 2.5 Gts-t which has developed what i hope is not a major running problem. On acceleration when the turbo kicks in there is a fairly violent juddering and the car doesnt seem to want to go. It seems to make no real difference if the engine is warm or cold. Any ideas?

I think it not reacting on the plate you installed try to double check if it being installed properly.

 

Maybe you should take that turbo to a service to check it. Maybe it's very dirty and it doesn't run properly.

 

It's likely one of the ignition coils. These break down with age and heat. It may also be the afm, if it won't rev over about 3k. If your skyline is a s1, you can replace the coils and afm with ones from a r32 gtst.
