Default Maxima Won't start & can't get fault codes

I have a 1990 nissan maxima that won't engage the starter, the check engine light doesn't come on and I can't get any codes from the ecu/eccs until after the check engine light is supposed to light up. I have asked around and so far have found no one with any ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Maxima Won't start & can't get fault codes

If the starter is not engaging it might be a bad starter solenoid which would require changing the starter. Could also be as simple as a bad ground or bad cable running to the starter. Check the power supply to the starter and go from there.
