Default Seeking opinions…SR20det or RB25det in my Bluebird 910 sss?

Greetings,

Hi guys..i'm Jai from Malaysia..

i've a few questions and opinions to ask you guys..

i have a 1984 Nissan Bluebird 910..(it's not a skyline..but it's classic.. )..just finished bodyworks and full chassis strengthening...this car will be used 100% for drifting purposes only..

now i'm deciding on what engine should i put in it...either SR20det, RB20det or RB25det...

at first i want to use SR20det..but here in my country spare parts and upgrade parts for sr20 are more expensive than RB parts...furthermore...i read a lot that sr20 motor is not as tough as rb motors...especially the valve train components...so..it's very unfortunate that if i want to built more power safely, i need to put a lot of money to upgrade it's reliabiltiy and durability i.e. stiffer valve springs, rocker arm stopper kit, sping retainers, trust oil pan and etc..

RB20det conversion in a 910 is very common here in my country coz it's the cheapest solution..a lot of RB users here are afraid to use sr20 bcoz of the above mentioned factors...as far as i know..there's very few people install RB25det in a 910 coz it's a bit more expensive than Rb20det..

i've tested a rb25det cefiro and i feel that the pulling torque and response is phenominal!! i believe it's greater than sr20det..

if i install RB25det...will i totally mess up the balance of my 910 for drifting? if anybody know..what's the weight of Rb20det and Rb25det?

i feel that Rb20det's torque comes a bit later in the RPM range...if i use this engine..how can i increase the response and make the torque comes earlier? (like Rb25det and sr20det)

i have no budget constraint if it's a RB coz i know the motor is tougher, reliable & more robust than SR, so guys...what do you guys think? for drifting...should i go for Rb20det or RB25det straight away?

Really appreciate help from you guys..Thanks

RB are heavy and the sr are really light for a smaller car your weight des will be all messed up. upgrade turbo with fast spoll for more torque and do some tuning
