The A/C on my 1996 Altima is acting really weird. When you start the car up it gets so cold it will run you out. Stop the car for anything, say for gas, get back in it blows warm air until you turn it off about five minutes and get going down the road again and bang its comes back on cold as ice. The system has the precise amount of coolant in it. Someone suggested it might have to much oil in the compressor? Anyone else exerience this type of problem, any suggestions before taking it to my mechanic would be great!

 

it sounds like to me that you compressor is starting to go bad cause it should always blow cold and what your saying is that the ac works fine when you drive and bring the rpms up and the compressor is working at full capacity. if you need an ac compressor they are under $100 new on ebay so good luck on your diagnosis.
