Default Timing Belt

I'm looking to buy a used 300ZX. Is there a way to tell if the timing belt has been replaced? Is there anything else I should look for or be careful of before buying? Thanks.

im not sure if the timing belt is exposed on that engine, or if it has a "viewing cutout"...if it is visible, just see how it looks..with a bright White light, look along the insides of the belt, and the outside, for very minor cracking.

Thanks. Any idea when timing belt replacement is recommended?

look 4 a silver sticker under hood that says if it has been changed. change every 60k miles.make sure the wiring harness 4 the coils and injectors are not all broken up from being removed. also on the belt isue look 4 missing bolts around belt cover or look to see if the crank balancer has chips missing on the back of it.
