Default Howdy....New here.

Hi, I look forward to sharing and receiving a lot of advise here on the forums, it has been a great help already, I finally decided to join.

I got a great deal on a 1999 GXE about 3 months ago, it needed a lot of work so I took it as my project car. When I first got it, it needed lots of little stuff, DS Door pull, DS window regulator, windsheld wiper motor, ashtray, hubcaps and trunk/cargo liner. All of which I have been able to replace recently (thanks Ebay.)

It also needed some bigger stuff, CD player and all speakers, front bumper cover, rear bumper cover, headlamps, front fenders, and hood. I replaced the stock CD player and speakers (which sucks btw) with an Alpine head unit and 6.5 Rockford Fosgates in the doors and JL Audio 6.5's in the rear. I haven't amplified the system yet but I'll probably get the f450 and the m450 for the 10in R series subwoofer (which I still need to get too).

I've ordered the rear and front bumper covers, so far I've received the rear cover, I got it from pershingautobody on Ebay, they are pretty good but really slow shipping.

I installed new headlamps on 5/3/06, it makes a huge difference in the appearance! It's like giving your car a new face, especially if your old headlights were worn and yellow.

The front fenders are next, then eventually a VIS hood but they pretty expensive so it will be a while. I've put a bra on the car to temporarily remedy the hood nicks, it looks good (unless you peak under the bra!)

Thanks to all for the great info and walk throughs.
