It's a 99, begining to think it's the MAF sensor. Car runs like crap, very sluggish almost stalls while idling. Just replaced the EGR, did tune up (new plugs), now it runs worse than before. When I umplug the MAF and start the car it sounds alot better, plug it back in sounds like crap.

I have a '99 as well. Before you spend a lot of money on a new MAF sensor, try removing the air duct where the MAF is located and spray the sensor with carburator cleaner (I think you can get special MAF cleaner though).Note: Do not poke at the sensor withanything as it's just a thin metal filament and could easily bend or break off. Just put the spray to it and keep a steady stream going, soaking the sensor. Iused most of the can on mine. I alsochange my air filter every year. What a difference! The carwouldjerk slightly every so often when idling. Not now! Not sure what the codes are though. I think PO200 may have something to do with the fuel injectors. You may want to look intogetting them cleaned as well.
Cheers

If you start the car without the MAF sensor plugged in and it runs better, something is def. wrong with it.

Hey burnout thanks for the input here. Just replaced the MAF sensor, still runs like crap. Code P1105 came up which is the MAP sensor, I cant seem to find it even in the Haynes. Little help with this?
Thanks

Well since you have a MAF sensor the car doesn't have a MAP sensor.... but I know what it means, it's a semi common problem.... it's going to be one of your EGR solenoids or valves. http://www.courtesyparts.com/betasit...1814_1817.html ... If you look at that pictures it's normally one of the 14920 or 14956 numbers.

I think it's 14956 code scans and says it's a solenoid. Sooooo where is it on the engine?
Thanks

That picture is almost exactly the same thing I see at work ... I haven't personally changed one before so I'm not positive... you're going to have to start up top and follow the hoses.

Burnout
It was the boost sensor! Any thoughts on how you replace the axles on this car. Car shakes bad had the tire balanced, aligned. CV boots are ripped bad on the axles so I think the axles are shot. Do i take the hub out slide the axles out? I do alot of work on trucks, pretty knowledgable on mechanics just new to this car, this is my wifes car.
