My Nissan Maxima GLE 98 Model, gets a sound when using the power steering on sharp turns. It only happens when i do some sharp turns. The sound is currently very low in nature, but I'm apprehensive on whether it might become a major problem

I checked the power steering fluid level, and its at the maximum.

Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

 

Is it a whining noise? If so u could have a bad power steering pump. U can get some gauges that test if the pump is flowing correctly I beleive. Also does that have a steering rack?
