Battery+Brake indicator light=alternator?
Hi. Yesterday in the middle of drivingmy battery and brake indicator lights came on. Battery is 1+ years old. Is this combination of indicators meant maybe for one problem, like alternator? Started car after work and lights were off, but as soon as idle lowered the lights came on again, simultaneously. Thanks.

RE: Battery+Brake indicator light=alternator?
This shouldn't indicate alternator although I've heard thatwhen the belt starts slipping and going bad, these lights may come on.Typically alternators just go. Have your battery tested (some auto suplly shops will do this and may even be able to test the alternator with a multimeter)
Also, a lot of auto parts places can run a scan for a couple bucks that gives them a code - telling them why your lights turned on. Possible brake issues should not be ignored. At a year old your battery should be good unless youve killed it several times.
