I have a 06 SE CC and am in the market for some wheels and tires. I have beem doing a lot of research on what will fit and what will not. I seems to add wider tires you have to modify the plastic fender liners with a heat gun to get them not to rub. I believe that a 30 offset is the only wheels that will clear the brake calipers. Is there anyone who has been through this process and has been able to find and add some 18" or 20" rims with say some 275 or 285 wide tires without them sticking outside the fenders.
I have some factory chromed 16" rims that I want to sell when I get some new ones. They only have 2K miles on them and look good but just not wide enough for me. They have BFG Long Trail 265/70-16 tires on them. A picture of them is attached.
If anyone has added wider tires please send pics and wheel make and sizings.
