How to Fix a Paint Scrape?
Today I had to go to the hospital and was in a bit of a rush as the parking garage was full. Low and behold, a tiny spot near a concrete pillar was the only one available at the time. One person was to my left who wouldn't budge for some reason, so I pulled in and tried to reverse but couldn't move very far. This made me swing very hard and I scraped the right side passenger door (I was paying too much attention to the concrete pillar to my left), leaving a 3 inch scrape near the center part of the door (that little strip, I don't know the proper term for it.)
Here are some pictures of the scrape:
Only the paint was scraped off and no actual metal was bent or anything.
What would be the most cost efficient way to fix this problem? I have a tiny scratch on my front bumper from touching a pole but after a bit of buffing and waxing, I can't even tell it's there. I just need a way to touch this up without spending $400+ at a body shop. Also, the color of the car is Blackout, would that make it easier to match up some paint and apply it to the scraped area?
Thanks in advance.
