Alternator Question
Hey,
I am new here, I am a Toyota Owner (please don't shoot me)
But my girlfriend has a 91' Nissan Maximum.
Her alternator recently died on her trip to the local Supermarket.
I was wondering.
Can I change the alternator myself in the parking lot there?
Is it hard?
Does anyone have a write-up on it with listed tools with size needed?
I tried searching but the search engine couldn't find anything.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Replacement is relatively easy and fast... has to be done from below, after takin batt cable & pass side mud shield out. Then loosen/siconnect the belt tightener and take out the 13mm attachment bolt. The regulator plastic connector may be jammed real tight, use lube spray and yank/pry open with small screwdriver after pushin 'in' the connector 'lock'
I guess u may drive 'home' - 30min if your batt is full, with NO headlights, AC, fan...
I took 'some' pics; see page 23, click link below. Do check/clean also all connectors p5, 10, 14
